Welcome…

To my Studio Gallery!

I have created this space to share my journey as an artist.

Here you will find artwork to welcome into your home, from my hand and heart. As well as a look inside my artist’s life, studio and ways of working. I am constantly creating something new and you are invited to follow along here.

I recently created a BLOG which you can find here on my website under Studioblog. Ihope you will reach out and connect here or on social media. I am so glad you joined me here.

Robin Marie Taylor

I have been creating art ever since I can remember. I painted a portrait at age 5 that featured blue lips. Blue was my favorite color so why not blue! We painted at easels and I knew that I was an artist.

In high school I decided I wanted to teach others about the wonders of art and creating. I earned a BA in Art Education and an MA in Studio Arts and studied with master artists in NYC. After teaching for many years and raising my family, I now have more time to concentrate on my own work.

I create paintings and collages and am a colorist! Line, shape, sculptural form, value and negative space are my solid foundations. My work is heavily influenced by spirituality, nature, the figure and conceptual ideas. My artwork expresses the influence of my life experiences, choices, interests and passions. I am especially interested in expanding the legacy of women of the past, who created anonymously with what they had at hand and utilized their creativity to enhance their lives in whatever form they could.

My first online collection release was a milestone for me. The Marie Collection is a form of alter ego that I explored with a select palette and mediums. The idea of the creative heart of a woman expressed through traditionally available materials forms the core concept of the series. Would the quilt artists of the past have created with other materials had they access to them? Marie looks for the beauty and joy in her world and creates from there. You can view the sold collection in my Portfolio section.
